Accessibility of site

Here is the currrent accessibility statement about this website. It is a continous process that luxvis endeavours to improve with each version of this site. This statement was made on 31 July 2011.

Conformance statement

Luxvis satisfies the following requirements:

  • Site endeavours to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards
  • Its xhtml is strict and it satisfies WCG levels
  • It uses a valid css but unfortunately the validator does not recognise browser specific attributes to create CSS3 effects i.e. rounded borders without images
  • Can be navigated without reliance on css
  • The technologies that it uses but does not rely on are javascript, pdf
  • It crossbrowser navigatable and provides ability to increase font a few levels beyond normal.

Using some of the sites features:

  • You can use the tab key to navigate all the links
  • You can increase the font using your browser or hold down the control and the + key to increase font
  • You can use the following accesskey- for firefox press shift + alt +1 it will take you to the main content-information regarding accesskey
  • Can be navigated without reliance on css
  • The technologies that it uses but does not rely on are javascript, pdf
  • It crossbrowser navigatable and provides ability to increase font a few levels beyond normal.

Unfortunately due to the nature of the educational notes quite a few documents are only available as a PDF download. Luxvis understands the severe limitations of this format and is endeavouring to provide a workable solution to this problem.
